About the Artist: Robert Mazzarella

An uplifting melody, the soothing hum of rain on a Kauai roof, or the allure of a Hawaiian hibiscus all call to Mazzarella's artistic soul.  A self-taught painter and lover of fine art on canvas, Robert is inspired by nature's wonder, his soft brush style and vibrant colors reflect his inner energy. During the late night hours, Mazzarella can be found perfecting his medium in his Kapa'a studio.

From seascapes and landscapes to brilliant underwater experiences, the possibility of something fresh and poetic from Mazzarella will only be a brush stroke away. Fueled by the desire to create a masterpiece, Robert pours his psyche into each canvas, spending weeks refining details and purifying its overall tone. The result; Mazzarella has brought into existence a collection of work where depth, liveliness, and brilliant colors deliver peace and awe.

Now looking back on a career that spans over three decades, Mazzarella considers himself one of the lucky few, undeterred in his world as a creative spirit with mercurial and solitary tendencies. The consummate professional, Roberts's expressive paintings continue to evolve.

Hailing from Connecticut, Mazzarella has lived in Hawai’i for forty years and calls the Garden Isle of Kauai his home.
